Custom Profiles Search – Search By Profile Fields plugin is finally here and available for Elgg versions 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12. With this Premium Elgg plugin you can add profiles search functionality to Elgg sites that allows users to search profiles/members by any user profile fields. It is ideal for Matchmaking/Dating Elgg sites but it can be used on any Elgg setup like Job/Profession community sites or just about any other Elgg site in need of searching members by profile fields. This Premium Elgg plugin works in conjunction with Profile, Profile Manger and Members plugins and allows admin to select which profile fields to display on search form when creating new or editing existing fields in Profile Manager. With new added profile field types (Datepickers, Pull Downs, Token Input, etc.) the possibilities are unlimited. In plugin settings page admin can also select search results accuracy, search index page display and optionally to display search queries used in search.

Here is a list of some of the available functionality of this plugin.
- Search Elgg users by any profile field you choose.
- Search accuracy Exact match or Similar (set in plugin settings page).
- Display queries used in search for reference (set in plugin settings page).
- Search Index page displays list of Users of the form (set in plugin settings page).
- Search form is sticky, for ease of adding more filters on search.
- Search form is created by selecting profile fields to display in Profile Manager
- Search form is added in sidebar on Profile Search page
- Search form is also added in sidebar on default Members page
- Search form can be added anywhere on the site.
- Adds menu item (profile search page) to Site menu
- Plugin Settings page to choose accuracy and query display
- Adds custom fields to use for searching by Range between dates
- Adds custom fields to use for searching by Range between numbers
- Adds custom Token Input fields to use for adding Members to profile
- Adds custom Token Input fields to use for adding Groups to profile
- Select fields you want displayed in form in Profile Manager
