Make your Elgg Groups Profile Page stand out by replacing it with custom group view layout. Default Elgg Groups profile page view is similar to User profile, wide group info, group info on the right of icon, etc. We had client that wanted groups layout customized for his Elgg site.  In this custom modification of Elgg groups plugin layout we achieved several things.

  • Large image used as Group icon
  • Group info below icon/image
  • Single column groups layout
  • Medium size Group Icon in Sidebar
  • Renaming “Groups” to Something Else in topbar
  • Controlling all text that says “groups’ and more…
