The middle column holds “Post to wire”  form (which is JQuery dropdown link) at the top, tabbed navigation with “Wall” (which is user riverdashboard activity-User Only NOT All) , “Info” (displaying user details) and “Photos” if  Tidypics plugin is enabled.

When visitor or member is viewing Elgg user profile, by default shows user’s info (details) logged in or logged out and big improvement is that “Wall” displays Only user’s activity in the river and not “All” site users activity like in Riverdashboard. It also includes filter button to display user’s friends activity as well.

Left sidebar holds large user icon with couple of links below and all latest items that belong to user whose profile you’re viewing (Friends, Photos, Videos, Events, Blogs and Groups) of course if these plugins are enabled it will display them. This can be edited and rearranged any way you wish according to your niche and needs.
Right sidebar has Quick Links on top (links to create and add new Blogs, Groups, etc.) and Google Adsense Ads.

I’ve seen many meta plugins for Elgg but they all failed to insert meta description. This Free plugin will insert keywords and description meta tags. Description is used from “Site Administration” (Short description of your site) field and keywords you enter in plugin settings.

How to install

• Unzip juipo_elgg_metatags.zip onto your PC.
• Upload juipo_elgg_metatags folder to your mod/ directory on your server
• “Enable” it.
• Click “Settings” next to plugin title and Define keywords for your site
• Go to Admin Panel > “Site Administration” and define (Short description of your site)

To achieve this you need to override/change a view in the riverdashboard plugin to do that. The file you need to edit is riverdashboardviewsdefaultriverdashboard nav.php .

Now many Elgg site owners don’t know enough PHP or just don’t want to mess with Elgg code so we have created simple plugin that will remove “all” tab from the river dashboard so that you can only see “friends” and “mine” tabs.

This will still display all site updates when user first loads the dashboard but will display only two tabs, “friends” and “mine”.
To display “friends” updates as default you need to edit index.php in main riverdashboard plugin. We have included that file as well in download below.

Download Riverdashboard Remove “all” plugin.

How to install

• Unzip riverdash_remove_all.zip onto your PC.
• Upload riverdash_remove_all folder to your mod/ directory on your server
• Make sure plugin is at the bottom of the plugin list and “Enable” it.
• If you wish to display “friends” updates as default, upload index.php from riverdashboard folder inside the zip file and replace existing index.php in mod/riverdashboard/ directory on your server.

And that’s it. Your new riverdashboard will now display “friends” updates on default and show only “friends” and “mine” tabs in riverdashboard navigation.

This plugin puts Addthis buttons in owner_block in sidebar on your Elgg Community site. It is compatible with Elgg v1.5 , 1.6.1 and latest v1.7.

Update:  Just uploaded New version 1.3 that is compatible with latest Elgg 1.7.5 .

We had users reporting getting a blank screen when plugin was enabled so we added code for backward compatibility to check if the elgg_extend_view() function exists so it is still backwards compatible.
